ARMCHAIR TRAVELER: THE PANAMA CANAL

Come to the community center and have a snack and we'll explore the world, past and present! As one of the 7 Wonders of the Modern World, the Panama Canal was built between 1904 - 1914, in order to dramatically decrease the travel time for ships between the Pacific Ocean and the Caribbean Sea. Let's get together and explore how it was built, how it works, and how it’s impacted our world!
