We hope you and your family stayed warm and safe during last week's ice storm. Many trees across the district were affected by the ice build-up. This caused damage and a pile-up of debris. Brushy Creek MUD is working on cleaning debris across our parks and trails. We want to inform you of assistance tools that the Texas Division of Emergency Management offers for disasters. Below is information regarding the Individual State of Texas Assessment Tool (iSTAT) Damage Survey.
The Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM) will conduct a damage assessment to determine the extent of damage and the resources needed for recovery. The assessment process covers public and private sectors, including residential properties like yours.
The key steps of the TDEM damage assessment process include pre-disaster planning, initial assessment, detailed assessment, documentation and reporting, and recovery and assistance. The information gathered from the assessment will be used to prioritize resources for those in need and determine the level of assistance required for recovery.
We encourage all Brushy Creek MUD community residents to complete this survey and familiarize yourself with the TDEM damage assessment process.
