As part of our continued efforts to care for and enhance our community, we want to share important news with you. To protect our high standard of living and maintain the safety of our neighborhoods for years to come, the Brushy Creek MUD Board of Directors has approved a strategic adjustment to the District's monthly Stormwater Drainage Fee, increasing it from $2 to $5. This fee will go into effect Feb. 1, 2026 and be shown on your March 2026 water bill.

This fee adjustment was discussed at the Brushy Creek MUD Fall 2025 Town Hall and shared in our newsletter and on our social media accounts, and a public hearing on the fee adjustment was held on Nov. 13, 2025, during the Board of Directors Meeting.

More prevalent severe weather events such as the July 2025 floods that devastated many parts of Central Texas, coupled with rising costs for materials and maintenance, make the District’s Stormwater Drainage Fee key to ensuring our systems will remain fully functional for our residents and business owners.

Specifically, this fee facilitates a stable source of revenue for our stormwater system and guarantees:

• Organized problem-solving pertaining to stormwater management
• Increased focus on issues such as erosion, flooding, and source water preservation
• Continued compliance with state and local pollution requirements and other regulatory mandates
• Funding to construct and maintain stormwater capital improvements as they become necessary

This change isn’t simply about raising funds—it’s about reinvesting in the future of our community. By supporting this initiative, you’re helping to ensure our stormwater system stays strong, reliable, and prepared to meet the needs of a growing and thriving Brushy Creek.
